SEAN RUDMAN

Sean Rudman est en 1951 à Cork, en Irlande. Après avoir complété des études en arts visuels à Londres et à l’Académie de Port-Royal à Paris, il décide, en 1979, de s’installer dans la région de la Mauricie au Québec. Rudman a depuis présenté de nombreuses expositions individuelles au Québec et en Ontario, en plus d’avoir participé à de nombreuses biennales et expositions collectives au Canada, en France, en Suisse et en Grande-Bretagne. L’artiste a aussi exécuté huit grandes commandes d’art public au Québec dans le cadre du programme d’intégration des arts dans l’architecture, dont deux sont exposées dans les hôpitaux régionaux de Trois-Rivières et de Rimouski.

Sean RUDMAN

 

Sean Rudman was born in Cork, Ireland, and after studying art in London and the Academy de Port-Royal in Paris, chose to settle in the beautiful Mauricie region of Quebec in 1979. Renowned as a painter, draughtsman and printmaker, his works can be found in numerous private and public collections, including those of Loto-Québec, the Museum of Contemporary Arts of Montreal and the Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec. The artist has shown his work in many solo exhibitions in the province as well as in Ottawa and Toronto. Rudman has also participated in numerous biennials and collective exhibitions in Canada, France, Switzerland and Great Britain. He has executed eight major public art commissions in Quebec under the programme “intégration des arts à l’architecture”, two of which can be seen in the regional hospitals of Trois-Rivières and Rimouski. Sean Rudman is represented by Lacerte Art Contemporain in Montreal.
