CHRISTIAN GRAVEL

Né à Québec, Christian Gravel vit et travaille désormais dans la région de Charlevoix. Parallèlement à sa carrière artistique, Gravel a été peintre scénique pour l’industrie cinématographique et travaille aujourd’hui à un projet architectural dans sa région d’adoption. En 2001, il termine son baccalauréat en arts visuels à l’Université Laval à Québec. Il entreprend par la suite, en 2009, sa maîtrise en arts visuels avec mémoire. L’artiste a depuis participé à plusieurs expositions collectives, entre autres à la foire Papier, en 2019 à Montréal. Représenté par la galerie Lacerte depuis 2013, son travail fait aujourd’hui partie de collections privées et publiques.

Christian Gravel was born in St-Nicolas. He lives and works between Quebec and Montreal. He mainly carries out a career as a painter and graphic designer as a dilettante. In 2001, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts at the Université Laval in Quebec City. In 2009, he began his master’s degree in visual arts with a thesis. He was also co-director of the Galerie Rouje in 2007. He has participated in several group exhibitions, including Peinture fraiche et nouvelle construction (2011), at Art Mûr in Montreal. For a few years now, he has been represented by the Galerie Lacerte Art Contemporain, where in 2013 he made his first solo exhibition. His work is now part of several private and public collections.
