Born in Sainte-Marie in 1929, Paul Lacroix lives and works in Quebec. He studied at the École des beaux-arts du Québec and at the École des beaux-arts de Montréal. He also studied with Alfred Pellan in Montreal, with Ossip Zadine in Paris and at Marino Marini in Milan. Since 1965, the artist presented his works in numerous group and solo exhibitions, whose the most important were presented at Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, at Musée du Québec, at centre culturel canadien à Paris and at Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal. In 1990, Paul Lacroix received Prix de la création du Conseil de la culture de Québec. Paul Lacroix taught at the École des arts visuels de l’Université Laval during almost thirty years.
