Carlos Quintana was born in 1966 in Havana (Cuba) . Since 1993, his life and work are shared between Havana and Madrid (Spain). He holds a formation of the Academy of Fine Arts San Alejandro and the Design Institute of Havana. His work is part of the new generation of Cuban artists such as Santiago Rodríguez Olazábal, Roberto Diago, Jose Angel Toirac and Los Carpinteros. Quintana’s work is internationally diffused since more than fifteen years in Spain, Mexico, Venezuela, Cuba, United States, Costa Rica and more recently in Canada. His participation in international fairs such as Arco, Art Miami and Art Basel makes this artist an essential of the contemporary Cuban art.
