Louis-Pierre BOUGIE

Louis-Pierre Bougie was born in 1946 in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. He lives and works in Montreal. He mainly trained in works and workshops in painting and engraving workshops mainly in France where he spent seven years mastering lithography techniques at the Atelier Champfleury and engraving at Lacourière and Frélault. He then pursued his career in Canada, France, Poland and the United States, notably in New York. A founding member of the Atelier Circulaire de Montréal, he now contributes to the development of engraving in Quebec by welcoming artists from around the world to his Montreal studio. A recipient of numerous awards for his talent as a recorder, he has more than fifty solo exhibitions in Canada and abroad. His works are part of numerous private and public collections in Canada and France.
