Denis PELLERIN

Born in Ham-Nord in 1953, Denis Pellerin lives and works in Montreal. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in visual arts from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 1984. From various mediums – painting, drawing, collage – Denis Pellerin works on the construction of a universe that is very personal to him and that is marked by the recurrence of certain graphic signs. In his works, Denis Pellerin uses a special technique of collage, inserting on the canvas so-called poor materials – an approach that is reminiscent of an aesthetic close to the Italian Arte Povera. For twenty-five years, the artist has been pursuing her transdisciplinary plastic quest. His works have been exhibited regularly in Quebec, in several European countries and in North America.
